At JJ-LA I gain hands-on experience in event planning, talent management, venue research, client relations, and deck creation.
In addition, I provided on-site assistance at JJ-LA's OUTLOUD: Raising Voices 3-day concert series at the USC Colesium and was streamed to over 4 million viewers on Twitch.

Office Manager

At this non-profit arts organization, I have the ability to work creatively and administratively. I joined this team as an Executive Producing/ Event Planning Intern, and when the internship ended I transitioned to the role of Office Manager.
I work with the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the organization, Adilah Barnes, in planning events, communicating with talent and production teams, marketing, grant research, sponsorship recruitment, virtual venue platform research, and administrative tasks.
So far I have aided in the virtual productions of Triumph! 2020, Wine Down Wednesdays, Holiday FUNraiser, HOT OFF THE PRESS Juneteenth Reading Series, and the 2021 Annual Festival.

TROJAN EVENT SERVICES
Production Manager and Technical Assistant August 2019-March 2020
I started with Trojan Event Services as a Technical Assistant, helping with setting up, strike, and stage transitions for the various types of events held at Bovard Auditorium. After a few months in this position, I transitioned into a Production Management role in which I worked with clients to schedule, book, and plan the technical/staffing needs of events that took place in the auditorium. The job also included giving clients walk-throughs of the venue, making sure all aspects of their event were in compliance with campus guidelines, and created quotes/bills for the varying events and clients depending on their needs.
All student employment at the company was suspended in March 2020 because of the temporary closing of the venue due to COVID-19.
